79,200 feet

The long runs start this weekend. 15 miles on the schedule, which will be the longest run I’ve done for some time. The plan is to consciously slow down and concentrate on the distance, not speed. An article in Runners World reminded me of my mission and now’s the time to get my game face on and start to get used to being out for upwards of 3hrs at a time.

I’m actually glad now that I’ve pushed as hard as I have up to this point. Glad also that I didn’t go too far and caught myself before I blew an o-ring. This morning, after my PB 10 mile race on Sunday and brisk 6.5 mile run on Tuesday, my legs feel strong and I’m ready for tonight’s 10-miler with the club.

Here come the miles..!
